Jerry,
You are mostlyI correct. That's another reason that I did not use a processor or O2 sensor in my Chevy install. They do have new wide band O2 sensors that are more tollerant of lead, but not completely. I'm curious if the use of that TCP stuff knocks the lead content down to a managable level for the sensors.
Of course, if the ship is built to handle that worthless ethanol enhanced fuel, and you have a way to transport it, it would work OK at home base. It is getting harder & harder to find MoGas at airports across the country now days.
We shall see :)
Kurt

One other area of concern. I read that they are using the Oxygen sensor. From what I have read that means NO Avgas. The lead in the 100LL fouls the O2 sensor and then the ECM can only run the pre-mapped mode. Hope I am incorrect on this.

Hey Bob,
I’m sure he is a nice guy and he is doing good work. I am leery of anyone that claims their engine will use half the fuel. I have yet to see an auto conversion that has a better BSFC than an aircraft engine. Especially when an electronic ignition is added and an EIS is used to run LOP.
I know you have to toot your own horn for marketing, but… it would be nice to see a new engine developer under promise and over deliver (or just deliver).
I do wish him the best of luck.
Andy

Al Aden and his Quiet Aviation company are located at the Orlando Apopka airport, just a few hangars away from us. Al's a good guy, knows what he's doing, and I believe he will have his STC approved for this engine on C172's by next summer.
