REFLECTOR: Auto engine installed 172

Best BSFC is going to be found at the torque peak.
Accessories that require power are all going to eat away at that value, 
and fuel injection is better than a carburetor.  So best BSFC would be 
at WOT, naturally aspirated.

I suppose the large cylinder part doesn't matter.  As long as you 
minimize pumping losses, you could get good BSFC.
The above parameters for airplanes imply large cylinders.

Slow RPM's minimize air pumping losses, and other friction losses.
