REFLECTOR: Intercom Static Noise

My Garmin intercom had static and a whistle or squeal or both.  I sent it in for $500.00 look at fee returning all nominal. Removed my Garmin 430 and found a single wire strand from somewhere spanning three pins in the large plug entering the back of the unit. I removed it and my problem evaporated. FWIW.
