Long ago I read some where...
There are are different shipping prices / shipping codes based on what your shipping. The article that I read listed propeller as a code that was expensive   It also listed several options such as wooden blanks and plywood (a lot cheaper)
Don't remember the details, but search of this or some of the other builder forums will prob find it
