REFLECTOR: Pitot Tube

My pitot installation is much the same, except that it extends about an inch
further.  

 

Since the Velocity is not a “known ice” sort of plane, the fact that the
heating power at 12v is only ¼ the power as if the pitot heat ran on the 24v
it was designed for does not bother me a bit.  I figure if I ever need more
pitot heat, I have much bigger problems to worry about!  The V is a VFR
airplane as far as ice is concerned.
