REFLECTOR: Plenum drain?

Andy,

 

I figured that was a reason. I wonder if the top of the engine compartment
could have higher pressure than the inside of the plenum? Doesn't seem
likely. Maybe a check valve? 

 

Okay, now it's getting too complicated. :-) 

 

What's the typical routing of the drain once it leaves the plenum? I'd
imagine over to the side and then down to the center at the bottom of the
fuselage.

You could be allowing the gasses in the cowl to backflow into the plenum and
then the cabin. Not sure. I've never seen anyone do it that way before.
