REFLECTOR: E-readers as Electronic Flight Bags

The Kindle DX, by far the best to use for plates, is overpriced, but I guess that's how the free market works. Buying it directly from Amazon will save a few dollars. There's also a link to Amazon from pdfplates.com to buy it for a few dollars less.

I have the Sony PRS-505. It's so-so as far as usefulness. The plates are
hard to read due to the smaller size of the Sony and zooming only does
so much. A bit clunky to get to the plate you want. The Sony is a great
reader for books and I use it every day BUT if I were buying mostly for
aircraft use I'd go with the (new)Kindle, larger and easier to navigate.
