Fred:

I just returned from volunteer duty at Sun 'n Fun. This was my 23 year. I work in the advisory tower and direct aircraft after they land and turn off to the show side of the field.

I was able to fly in the B24 and really enjoyed all the other heavy iron. The night show was neat and the balloon launch went with out problems.

According to exhibitors attendence was not as good as last year but still adequate. The economic downturn does not help.

The officials of the show have not seen a negative result from the parking fee. The parking fee helps to raise some of the cash lost in the economics. of these times.

I built an RG that some one in Florida said they wanted to own. I sold it and they were happy.

Where are you located and what model are you building?

If you are planning to drive to the Sun-N-Fun best pack a lunch. The management of the of the Sun-N-Fun in their never-ending, undying and limitless greed have decided to once again charge for parking. ($5.00 per vehicle per day or $20.00 for the week) In years past this fleecing of the flock has resulted in traffic delays of well over a hour. The individual at the registration desk assured me "this time it would be different" because there would be three people at the gate grabbing the cash. (Did I mention it is CASH only?) Yeah I've seen that tried before too. Oh well, perhaps the ever diminishing attendance will help to mitigate the delays. Geez, the next thing you know they will be charging landing and tie down fees. Those old boys sure know how to beat a dying horse.

p.s. I don't think there will be any need for me to buy a week pass.
