REFLECTOR: speed

I can "dig it"? One thing could be of concern though.? I received incident jigs with my kit. Things dry out in the desert here big time, and my main wing incidence block started to crack and warp. I asked the factory to purchase another one. I was assurred that the one I had would be sufficient, but I persisted and they sent me a new one.

Interesting thing:? The new one and the old one did not match! So, of course I called. I gave them some measurements and they basically said to throw the first one ( the one that came with the kit) away as it was not correct. Hmm.. I was also told that I didn't get one for the small wing (I have the 173 setup), and they weren't sure how the one I got ended up like it did (theybuild them in an idiot-proof jig).

I'm glad I got the new one, and it DID change things somewhat. I'm glad I aimed for the middle of the rake angles for the winglets, as now I am almost at the aft limit with the new incidence block.

Could there be a similar problem with folks rigging their Velocities?? Makes? you wonder.

Kurt,

I think the biggest issue is alignment/rigging. Main wing aligned
correctly to fuselage, canard aligned correctly to main wing., etc..
So that everything is in its sweet spot at cruise. Having the control
surfaces correctly rigged would be included in this.

Next is having the prop pitched correctly for the fuselage-engine
combination is crucial, especially in a fixed pitch.
