Thanks Andy, and sorry, Jeff, about the mix-up. Congrats on your first flight. I wrote to X-Jets and will let people know what I hear.

Chuck,
I believe the Velocity Jet belongs to Antonio Espinal. You can learn something of it here: http://x-jets.com/velocity_jet.html
The site documents SOME of the changes that were necessary to install the turbine.

Jeff, congratulations on the rebuild and for getting back in the saddle. I almost wrote to you to ask some questions when you had your incident 2 yrs ago.
I guess I'll ask them now:
1. I understand pure jets have a lag when spooling up power. Did you land short originally because of this? What have you done differently to your procedures or to the plane to prevent this? Airliners "dirty up" the plane during landing to keep the power up in case of a go around. Can you do this?
2. What jet engine did you use and how does it perform. Is the t/o power adequate, or do you need a long runway (for landing too?).
3. I hear jet engines burn lots of fuel, including at idle, so did you add additional fuel tanks for extended range?
4. What kind of speed and at what altitude do you expect to see?
5. What is you overall weight and did you have to extend the engine cowls to get a good CG?
6. Did you need any special rating to fly a pure jet? Did you get insurance?
You've done a beautiful job on this unique Velocity.
