Hello You don,t need to seal up the front opening. Just point the hose
in the duct opening and just keep the hose from moving around. You can
call me to make we are talking about the same thing.

What I am wondering about is how you got the oil lines and (im my case
anyway) the other cables to pass through the vent hose and have a good
seal? Or are you saying you stuck the hose in the duct along side the
other lines?

Hello
I Just tap off my out side vent hose and stuck it down the hole were the
oil line enter the duct. Remove the back cowl and see were the lines
come out and measure forward past the firewall . Be careful not to cut
thru your oil line. Try and put a piece of metal under your line to keep
from cutting the lines. You may try to use a die grinder and sand a
opening into the cavity of the duct. Barry Rosamond Ca XL

Also, is it difficult finding the duct from the outside?

Hello
Yes I ran fresh air into the tube from the right front naca scoop. The
air exit overboard from the bottom fuselage at the rear,I blocked off
the duct that open into the engine compartment. Barry XL

My other to do is get more oil cooling. High oil temps are creating a
second problem with a lot of heat getting in the cabin from the duct
where the lines run. Has anyone ventilated the duct? Does it help?
What kind of an opening did you use?

Thanks,

John
