Just talked to John and he told me about some of the "bugs" he's trying to fix.  Its possible he'll be flying to Rome  KRMG tomorrow (which is a 15 min short flight) to let a mechanic I know, crawl under the hood and check it out since Chattanooga doesn't really have many (if any) small engine aircraft mechanics anymore.  So far from what he's told me, it doesn't sound like it'll be something to major.  He's flew it today and runs great over 1300rpm but maybe we can get a better diagnosis tomorrow.

  John Dibble is down in Chattanooga, his phone is 662-336-0530.  Hopefully minor problem: 
 
  He had been losing oil, bought new filler cap, flight tested and did not lose more oil.  But now he runs rough at 1300 & below, wants to run compression tests on his Franklin, and asks for any help down there in Chattanooga. He and wife were on way to NY.
 
    From January CSA roster only Chattanooga contact I have is Frank Zarski, but alas, he has passed away. I left msg for Steve Wright in Brentwood TN.
 
    Anybody can help, please give John a call, and post here so I know somebody has gotten to him.
