Has anyone had occasion to replace a rear window?

I'm wondering if it is possible to remove it from the inside without messing
up the exterior paint.  If the inner plys and micro flange are ground away,
can the alphapoxy bond between the plexiglass and the fiberglass outer skin
be separated?
