REFLECTOR: Spark plug wiring

So I pulled out one of my mags in preparation to install the LIghtspeed
and noticed one mag supplies the upper plugs on one side and the lower
plugs on the other side. Tother mag does the opposite. I had
forgotten my Continental in my Bonanza did that to.

So looked at the lightspeed web site and Klaus recommends running a
single LIghtspeed on the upper plugs. Mag supplying the lower plugs.
Which is what I did on the IO360. This will be somewhat of a pain since
the mag plug wires aren't of the correct length and I hate cutting and
fitting those braided plug wires. Or I could just use some of the wires
from the removed mag and have them sort of fit..

My question is, Is upper=lightspeed, lower=mag really optimal? Might
not lower=lightspeed, upper=mag be better? Since the mag is fixed
timing(cept for starting) the lightspeed variable timing, where in
relation to the valves would you want the variable spark for optimal burn?
