REFLECTOR: [SPAM] Fuel shutoff valve location

There is no fuel selector valve. Each wing tank feeds a center sump the outlet of which has a shut off valve.

David,

Brian used a setup like you are describing and his engine quit on first flight. Was it vapor lock as Al suggest? I don't know but I'd hate to be the guy that proves it was.

Hi, is the fuel shutoff valve you are referring to the same as the fuel selector valve or are they separate valves.

Where have people put their fuel shutoff valve? It seems stupid to put it where it can be reached. Thus, I am currently planning on running the fuel line from the sump, up the center spine and putting the valve in a location I can reach and then running a line back around the sump and to the firewall fitting. Thoughts??
