Kurt,
I've been at 19,000 ft in mine with the IO360.
The climb rate was pathetic! But it felt fairly stable, nothing like my
Bonanza that felt like I was riding a marble at that altitude.
That pic is definitely taken from a few thousand ft agl. Could be
anywhere between 7 and 10,000 ft msl if it really is near Albuquerque....
Rumor has it that El Nino, is kicking in and possibly giving is a lot
more moisture this summer to fuel those thunder bumpers. You guys at
ATC getting a similar whether briefing?
