I had a similar problem when doing the "burn in" required for the unit. It would work fhr a while, then start going nuts. I was told I must have had a loose connection. I couldn't find it so I sent it in to them. They found a loose/cold solder jointon the board, fixed it, calibrated things and sent it right back. No problems since.

Subject: REFLECTOR: RMI Monitor

My RMI monitor has been giving erratic readings for several years.? At first it was just the carb temp which often fluctuated from -15 to 19 C.? Then my fuel pressure would drift up from 6 psig to as high as 31 and often fluctuate in that range.? In the last year my CHT reading began fluctuating.? It always happens after an hour or so of flying.? If I land and shut down and then fly right away, it works fine for another hour.? Lately the fluctuation range is as large as 0 to 500 C and sets off the alarm if it stays high for more than a few seconds.? I have called RMI several times and they keep telling me I must have a loose connection.? I've checked, but found nothing so far.? Anyone else had this problem?

?

John
