Thanks Mike,

Honestly, I am surprised how smooth it sounds without any weight on it. I have an aluminum flex plate that weighs almost nothing. What surprises me more is that I have a pretty healthy cam I designed it specifically for the power band needed in the Velocity). One last thing:? This is an "odd fire" 90-degree V-6.?That means instead of firing every 120-degrees (120-120-120), it actually fires at 150-150-90.? This block and firing order was built for the Busch Series Nascar guys. It runs great above about 2000 RPM, but the idle was a bit rough for regular market vehicles. So it is? strictly a performance engine.

I had the Machine shop custom grind the crank specifically for the aluminum engine and precision match all the bearings. To top it off, they balanced the rotating assembly to specs of 1/2 gram. Needless to say, I was impressed!

Tons of other details in there, but that's the short story. Dennis has the same basic starting point that I do, but he did many things quite different. All?of us that don't (or can't because of some genetic affliction) follow instructions, ?and go with different engines, ?can attest that it takes LOTS of extra time.

I still have a wish of having as many "alternative powered Velocities" gathered together for a fly-in some day. I can't wait to see the ideas, engineering, perseverance, and the Sound!!.

Thanks. Kurt
