REFLECTOR: Aileron control stick pound pull

I agree with a light oil making it worse. I tried to use Automatic transmission fluid only on the rod ends at the rubber cups and it made it worse. I cleaned this off with denatured alcohol and everything freed up again. I am going to try some dry graphite lube next or I'll try your suggestion of "Blaster TDL". Where did you buy this stuff?

   As Scott Baker mentioned don't try to fix the problem before it actually is one. The stick control is so much lighter in flight. I don't know if it is from the vibrations in the airframe of the air loads on the control surfaces, but it gets a lot better when flying and looser with hours. Just make sure everything is secure and nothing is dragging (except the cables). I have seen that the trim springs will not overcome the drag on the ground but work perfect in flight.
    Using a light oil (3-in-1) in the past, I found that the cables start to stick. They actually stick so bad that they would make a vibration noise internally. In the cold they also get a sluggish feel. Since that, I used "Blaster TDL (the dry lube) with PTFE". It took the drag out by near 50%??? of what the oil did. I would imagine that any PTFE spray would work. Maybe someone else knows of something better.

I just installed my cables and I have alot of friction as well. probably more than 2 pounds... My cables are also 90" long wich is considerably longer than the 54" useing currently. thanx Jeff
