REFLECTOR: shimmy

Scott, in FDA testing, one does not get to take credit for serrindipity findings outside of the design of the trial. Fortunately, we are not so restricted when it comes to shimmy-stoppers, so if Ken's wheel straightener has ancillary benefits, so much the better. As mentioned before, I'm locking mine. Of course, my course of action may change if the good Doctor's model is successful in shedding new light on this chronic problem.

As the originator of the "lock" has said, the "lock" was designed to
cure the problem of the FG nose wheel clocking left or right in flight
and thus interfering with normal flight.

The use as a cure to the shimmy problem was unintended and not put forth
as such.
