REFLECTOR: Duration of Build Record

I am working on the record, but still have a way to go. I started
building in June 1996. Hopefully, I will fly it before I reach the 16
year mark!

The builder's log shows that the speed brake was completed in October
1987. I think this kit was the 4th one to ship from the factory, serial
number DMO-055. (I'm the 3rd owner.)

Doug, I think that your 9 year project is a "fast build"

You should be very happy and proud!

I have a 173FG that left the factory in 1993.

I am the second owner. I purchased it with about one months work yet to
do. Eight months later it had its first flight.

That flight took place 02.09.2009.

My guess is that a 16 year build may be close to the record.

Way to go Doug!

You beating me into the air, is the kick in the pants that I need to get
moving again.

I supect that you have the recored for duration of build. When did your
kit leave the factory?

(I hope I don't break that record) ; )
