REFLECTOR: Reflector Digest, Vol 67, Issue 3 - Engine Start Video

I started the engine on N929X for the first time yesterday and it ran great!
I posted a video on marksvelocity.blogspot.com if anyone wants to see it.
The engine sounds great with the downward facing exhaust pipes.

Anyone have a "new & improved" method for quick release of the Nose access
hatch? The one I received sometime back from the factory isn't all that hot.

I made one out of fiberglass that had no external hardware. It was a
simple catch inside the fuselage, and was released by reaching under the
instrument panel to release the hatch.

It did pop off when I put it into a corn field.

I thought about doing my own but my criteria is 1) Can I get it already made
and 2) Could I make a better one for less money.

After I looked into it, I decided that I MAY be able to get an equal result
(but not certain) but it wouldn't be any cheaper and it would take a lot
more time.

So I'm going with the AveoFlash nav/strobes.

Has any one made there own nav lights and strobe system? I have fond a few
on the web
and am thinking of building my own light system. Why not I have built every
thing else on this plane. So if you have some pictures of your system I
would love to see them.
