Yes, it's true. Really scared me the first time I did a run up without the switch in the down position. When I cranked the engine up to 1700 RPMs, the nose slowly began to sink to the ground and I didn't know why.....

            Builders/Flyers:

This notice is for users of the NL1-12, NL1-12E, NL1-24 nose lift kits:
The following warning notice was accidentally left out of the installation
& operation manuals (version M &L) delivered with nose lifts shipped after
          02/12/2007.

          Warning:

The main control switch must be in the "DOWN" position for all flight
operations including taxi. takeoff and landing. The "OFF" position is for
ground handling only. Failure to put the switch in the "DOWN" position
could cause the nose lift to retract under heavy loading such as run-up,
          braking, or rough taxi ways.

All users of record will receive this notice by mail in the next few
months. Refer to our web site
          www.EZnoselift. com<http://www.eznoseli ft.com/>for updates, service
          bulletins and new products.

          Best Regards

          Jack Wilhelmson
