REFLECTOR: Ivo and Vesta

About 4 years ago when I was making engine decisions I had a business trip to CA near IVO. I took an afternoon to visit his shop and talk with him. At that time he would not sell his prop to anyone with a Lycoming. One or more of his props had a problem with the owner's not properly following the re torquing procedure which lead to an in flight failure. Since that time his position was the power pulses were too great on the Lyco so he would not sell anymore to Lyco owners. That is part of the reason I elected to go with a Mazda rotary (20B)

Joe
173 RG (20B)-about a month away from first engine start and hopefully within 3-4 months of first flight.
