REFLECTOR: What an awesome airplane.

I've got a huge grin on my face today. I have a friend who's been drooling
over my Velocity for the past few months. He thought it would go faster than
his Centurion-- I didn't think so. So we raced today. At 4000 feet the
Velocity was doing 175 kts TAS turning 2650 RPMs, the Centurion was doing
172 kts TAS. Woo hoo!

For any builders out there who are deciding on what engine and propeller to
get, know that you can have an awesome airplane without a heavy engine, a
constant speed prop, or retractable gear. Now I don't want to start a big
debate about the merits of big engines and constant speed props and
retractable gear, I'm just telling the builders out there who like to keep
things simple and light that they can have a 200+ mph Velocity with an ECI
IOX-360 and electronic ignition and a Prince Aircraft 2-blade 68 x 76 cruise
prop. Retractable nose gear helps, too.
