REFLECTOR: Interior panels

The use of Zolotone worked great for a lot of my hidden areas, like the nose wheel area on my RG, or the interior fire wall area. Clean up the semi-seen area's.

Terry,

I used Lilith Charcoal Zolatone on my panel, and you're right, it is great. Not what I had in mind for my window frames though. Still, it will sort of hide some imperfections.

Thanks Kurt

I used Zolatone for a lot of my interior surfaces and liked the way it came out. Use the primer and the clear coat if you go that route for a better final look. Zolatone is like speckled paint. The color specks float on the mixture like oil floats on water. Practice with it some. It comes in a lot a color combos and you can mix your own, which is what I did. Adjusting the gun will get is bigger or smaller speckle sizes. I tried my old www link for it, but the page has expired.

Thanks Al,
I think I will go the same route. Looks like it will take a fair bit of filling to make a paintable surface though.

I appreciate the pics. It helps.

 Kurt

How did you finish around your door windows?
Kurt
I just painted the door frames, right up to the masking on the window. Best photo I could find (masking on the outside still on) is attached. I covered the other window trim flanges, and the inside fuselage frames with vinyl. Inside strake/armrest is done in leather that matched the seats.
Hope this helps,
Al
