REFLECTOR: ATC Question

On initial call to any ATC controller, must include the word "Experimental"
It can be "Experimental 12345" or
"Experimental Velocity 12345"
Note: if the N number is less than 5 digits/numerals, then N number should be expressed as "November" i.e. "Experimental Velocity November 12 Alpha"
Use of the word "Velocity" clues the controller as to the type of aircraft - and, it implies that you would like future exchanges of words to be preceeded by the word "Velocity".
The exchange should idealy go something like this ...
"Orlando Approach, Experimental Velocity November Niner Four Victor Alpha, (followed by message)".
The reply from Orlando should be "Velocity Niner Four Victor Alpha, (message)"
Continued conversations with this same controller allows you to drop the word "Experimental" from the exchange.
However, when you are handed off to another controller, begin the exchange using "Experimental".

  Since we are talking about what to use when filing, I thought I'd ask about what to use when speaking to ATC.  If VELO is good to go for filing, can a Velocity pilot use "Velocity, (tail numbers)" when first contacting ATC instead if "Experimental, (Tail numbers)"?  Does anyone use both "Velocity" and Experimental" when first contacting ATC?  Does the word "Experimental" need to be in all transmissions with ATC or can it just be in the first transmission, if it is needed at all?
