Hello
Thanks to all. I made a small adjustment to my cannard and I can trim it
out in level flight.

My up elevator position in cruise is the same as Al’s too.

Barry;

I think I’m beginning to understand a little better. I recall now also
having that issue, and I added a wedge shaped shim between the spring
and metal bracket that fastens to the torque tube; thus rotating the
torque tube and giving more ‘up’ elevator travel. IIRC, the top of the
shim is ¼”+ and maybe 1/8” at the bottom. Sounds like you are already
doing that – maybe a bit thicker shim will help, or perhaps changing the
mounting of trim actuator.

How much trailing up on the elevator when you are at high speed? Mine
is typically about ½ to ¾” single pilot, and a bit less with a front
seat passenger.

Hello

I get full movement up and down on the ground. In flight I can't get
enough up travel. I did use a shim between spring and elevator tube to
get a little more movement ( advice from velocity) but I still can't get
enough nose down at higher speeds. I made my own canard and elevator as
spec.

Elevator spring strength. Can you put more ply's on the spring to help
with trimming the nose down. If so how many ply's? Would that be uni,
bid. Would the plys be on the inside or outside of the springs?

Thanks
Barry
