REFLECTOR: Weight and Balance Levelling

Exterior is preferred.
It's been years since I leveled the plane and my reference marks are
long gone.
I seem to recall I used the nose leading edge as one point, then a mark
on the fuselage. The cowl can't be used because it's been cut and
shaped like swiss cheese.

It's not so much that I need reference points ... I can come up with
those. But, once I have my reference points, what is their relationship
to determine level?
Should I just use the wing leveling jigs? Those never seemed very accurate.
