Please send pictures. I will combine what you did with the lip system and
let everyone know how it comes out.

Kurt,
Say, if you've got some pictures to share of your attachments, I'd sure
like to see them too. I want to do the same.

David,

I used piano hinge attachments on my cowl. I like the outcome because things
line up perfectly and there is much more rigidity on the cowl edges (so they
don't warp like some I have seen on the ramp). If you like, I can provide
you with some pictures of my setup and how I did it. If I had to do it
again, I would use a combination of my hinges on the wing roots, and the
captured lip idea against the fuselage (like some have used here). In fact,
I may change my lower cowl/fuselage joint over to the captured lip idea.
The top is pretty much finished now and would require too much to change.

Let me know if you would like more information.

I am working on the cowls and wanted to find what others had done with piano
hinges to make their removal easy. I tried looking on Reflector, but I have
no way to search for a thread except month-by-month. Any other way?

Anyone have good pictures of or ideas for cowl mounting for easy removal?

Sir,

Thank you for talking today. You have a beautiful Velocity. I am a team
owner within the Rocket Racing League www.rocketracingleague.com

I am interested in finding a person in Oklahoma or North Texas who would be
willing to lease a Velocity. The two pilots would be me (a Navy F-18 and
E-2 pilot) and John Herrington (a NASA Astronaut and Navy Test Pilot). We
would fly the aircraft very respectfully and only straight and level. I
will take care of maintenance, fuel, and insurance. My team's website is
www.bridenstinerocketracing.com

Thank you for your help.

Best,
Jim Bridenstine

I don't think it would be legal to lease an experimental aircraft to anyone.
You could loan it if you wish.

Thanks a lot for your replies and pictures.
I found out that I did a little mistake in my post, when I was writing about
servo in the keel I
should have written aileron servo and not elevator servo. I will install the
elevator servo on the canard.

I am looking where BMA autopilot servos have been installed for the
elevator
      and aileron.

Has anyone installed the elevator servo in the keel?

Thanks Alex
Do you know the arm lenght of your attachment in reference with the center
on the torque tube
and which hole (or arm lenght) did you used on the servo arm.

I put my elevator servo on top of the canard- I bought another trim spring
bracket from Velocity and attached it on the other elevator torque tube-
connected to that- I mounted my roll servo at the end of the keel co Axially
with the aileron torque tube- it is connected to the torque tube with a
small universal joint.
