If the rings overheated, it will burn more oil (1 qt/hr). If it's using
a qt every 3 hours, it's probably ok. When mine overheated, it was the
2 rear cylinders that were affected, so you may not need to service all
the cylinders. If you're going to take it all apart, you might want to
consider changing the sleeves to match the new rings. I understand that
will reduce oil consumption considerably.
