Matt,

I made the rudder horn pocket on my wings also and I like the way it turned out. I don't agree that the glass over the pocket doesn't add any strength. If I ever build another pair of wings, I'll do it the same way again.

Subject: REFLECTOR: Lay up c question

Ihave all of my glass cut for lay up c of the wing/winglet joint. I have my wing bottom up, winglet outside surface facing me. I have the foam installed and formed. My question is.... what to do with all of the glass which extends past the forward edge of the rudder crank box.  Measured from the area of the LE, the forward edge of the box is about 16 inches aft. The glass is 20 inches wide.
Do I:
1. Cut the class and lay it up inside the box walls?
2. Cut the glass around the box area?
3. Something else?
Matt
