REFLECTOR: Front tie down

Well, I ordered a 1/2" spring loaded  pin from spruce along with the  correct 
sized receiver tube. then I glassed a piece of the appropriate sized  tube 
into the fuselage and a .5" piece of oak with many plies of BID. then I  closed 
it off with a siliconed pipe cap.  I welded the rings shut on a  regular 
motorcycle tiedown, and used that for the connection. 
 
 I also am using the same type setup on the main wing tiedowns. .. but  they 
are 3/8".
