REFLECTOR: Engine cooling NACA scoops

Dave, I've got the same setup and struggled with the same issue. First
off, I had oil temp issues also and added a 2nd oil cooler. Put a 5 row
SW cooler in the upper engine baffling which dropped oil temps over 40
degrees. My initial cylinder head temps were nearly 500 degrees in the 2
cyls closest to the firewall. My IO360 has 10 to pistons which doesn't
help temps. Here's what I did to cool things down:

* balanced the front and rear temps by trial and error changes on the
armpit scoop air ramps (bump in rear of scoop)
* enlarged the scoops (scoops were smaller than normal)
* cleaned up all the baffling and seals
* dumped my crossover exhaust and put the stock factory 2 in to 1 system on
* Jet hot coated the exhaust system inside and out
* made exhaust rings for the cowling with fireproof gasket material to
seal the exhaust outlets
* removed about an inch off of the upper rear cyl baffling
* cleaned up the engine compartment--various lines, hoses etc were run
as close to firewall as possible to avoid air blockage

Cyl head temps are now between 340 and 380
