Info Only.

If you experience a loss of brake fluid from your master cylinder,
and you can't seam to find where it is leaking from. Wipe your
finger along the bottom of the shaft, If even the slightest trace of
fluid is detected, tightening the retainer or the nut on the bottom
of the shaft, will not solve the problem and may make it worse.

Use a squeegee to remove the brake fluid to just below the top
of the brake cylinder body. Remove the plastic cylinder. clean the rim
in the area where the plastic cylinder fits and apply four (4) wraps of
Teflon tape around it. carefully press the plastic cylinder back down
on the master cylinder flange (do not turn while pressing down) and
tighten retainer band.

Do not over tighten the band or you will crack the plastic cup.

Before the above procedure, the fluid level would go from full
to between full and minimum in just under a month.
After the procedure, the level have not moved from the full
level in two months.
