Fuel burn is worth considering also. An IO360 can be very fuel efficient
if run at low power settings. Fuel burn is basically a matter of power
output. An underpowered 160 would have to be run hard but the 200 can be
run at 55% power with reasonable cruise and have fuel burns in the 7s or
8s. Granted a constant speed will do a better job with fuel burn/range
due to ability to reduce RPMs but it won't be a dramatic difference. I
have a neighbor with an IO-360 in a Mustang II, it was the 2nd one he
built. The first one had a 160 fixed pitch. He's very conservative on
his power settings but still runs both better speeds and less fuel burn
on the 200 over the 160. (He has over 3000 hrs in these two Mustangs).
He plans his long flights at 7 gallons per hour.
