REFLECTOR: Nose gear shimmy

It's unlikely the rubber bushing caused the shimmy. Low tire pressure or the 
axle set screw being loose has caused shimmy on my Velo. If the set screw is 
too loose the nose wheel will have side to side play, which you can find by 
lifting the nose off the ground and checking for side play. I have an older 
model fixed gear, so yours may be different. My fairing I attached with 
screws to the leg. I have since removed the fairing. My nose gear leg 
cracked at the upper bend exiting the fuselage. It was invisible until it 
failed with resulting fuselage damage, so I can now inspect the tube readily 
since there is no fairing. The fairing offered absolutely no airspeed 
increase. You could also increase the tension on the Nose gear pivot nut, 16
