REFLECTOR: Sealing hydraulic cylinder fittings RG

Hi All 

I am putting the fittings on  the gear cylinders and seem to remember some
discussion ( that I cant find in my saved pile ) about the right way to seal
the fittings on the hydraulic cylinders....... my normal practice would be
to use Teflon tape.   Is this the best??

That can be fine; the concern is that a piece of it tape may get loose on
the inside; so apply it with care.  I preferred to use a pipe thread
compound.
