REFLECTOR: Flying Qualities for Velocity XL-5RG with Pressure Rake

What is a pressure rake?

 

It measures the pressure distribution.  Each tube is connected to a
manometer or pressure measuring device.  Normally used on a much smaller
scale to measure boundary layer profiles, flow profiles in ducts, etc.  It
is what I referred to as a velocity rake in my e-mail a couple days ago that
I used to measure the flow profile in front of my wing-root cooler air
intake before designing the new scoop and boundary layer bleed.
