I have been watching DH for several years now. I can't wait to see the
shipping cost.

  I am one of those awaiting delivery. I communicated with them last week.

  The first "run" of production engines were assembled but not delivered (>1
year ago). They have been doing endurance testing on these engines. As they
have made modifications, they have repeated the endurance testing from the
beginning with the modifications. The latest mods involved optimizing the
rings/pistons to reduce oil consumption. They should be completing the
current testing soon, and (if there are no further modifications necessary),
delivering those engines (My guess would be 3rd qtr of this year).

  The first run of engines will have all modifications before shipping.
Modifications will be incorporated into the 2nd run prior to production. I
have an engine in the 2nd run.

  The intent is that all delivered engines will be identical and that once
certification is obtained, all engines shipped (from then on) will be
certified.

  It's been a bit slow on the Reflector.

  Anyone at SNF, we would love to hear any news.

  For grins, I checked the DeltaHawk site this morning.

  They are announcing certification of an engine: "Change date of
Certification to beginning of 2009"

  ========================

  DeltaHawk is on its way to type certification of the DH-180A4 engine (180
HP).  An FAA
  Designated Engineering Representative consulting group, The DERs Group,
has been engaged to
  manage and direct the process. Current estimates are to achieve Type
Certification (TC) as early
  as the beginning of 2009.

  =========================

  There is a note in the history that Beta test engines were to begin
delivery in 2003. Like many others, I would be happy to hear news of actual
engine deliveries. It could be a great thing for GA.

  FWIW,

  Andy
