REFLECTOR: Thermal exhaust Wrap

Has anyone, especially those with Franklin engine and
arm pit scoops, wrapped their SS muffler with thermal
shield wrap to reduce the build up of  heat on long taxis.

If yes, how well dose it work, is there any drawbacks or
adverse effects I should be worried about?

I know they can be thermal coated with a ceramic finish,
but I hate to dismantle the entire system send it out
then reassemble it. Lazy I quest.
