REFLECTOR: antenna ?

Velocity owners:  I have a XLRG that has a non-functional com antenna in the 
right winglet. I have been unable to get it to work.  Could anyone who has 
added a com antenna after the building is done and is functional let me know 
where they placed it and what kind of antenna it was.   Thanks Tim Rhodenbaugh
