REFLECTOR: canard cover

Plastic shopping bags cut into strips may work even better. The plastic is much thinner than duct tape and there is absolutely no sticking of the caulk to the bag. I used silastic, which seemed to work well.

Terry,

A suggestion. Instead of the foam tape seal, try this. Use silicone caulk
to form a seal for the mating surfaces. Put packing tape or duct tape on
one surface, then put the caulk on the other surface. Assemble the parts
and wait 24-48 hours for the caulk to set. Then remove the canard cover,
and remove the tape. You'll have a tight fitting (if not totally sealed)
mating surface.
