I'm not sure that aft CG in a canard pusher would make much of a speed 
difference. In a conventional tractor design the tail is negatively 
loaded and any relief (via further aft CG), lightens that load and 
allows for higher speeds.  Was 150kts a few days back at the same 
density altitude?? Are we talking IAS, TAS or ground speeds?
