REFLECTOR: white grease

Regarding the elevator hinges, my plans say "it helps to lubricate the screw with some white grease." What is white grease? Is it this: http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/dc3452valvelub.php

If normal axle grease got on the fiberglass structure, would it be bad? Other petroleum products? How about WD-40?
