Good point.

My power control cables go down the center conduit and sealed at the back but the side conduits are open on both sides.  With all that stuff in there, it is hard to imagine much air moving through them but I will check it out.

Make sure you are not venting high pressure "HOT" air up the ducts and exiting around the opening in the ducts for throttle cables et. from the engine compartment.  The ducts should be sealed at the firewall to prevent this.  This could be your problem and not the cooler.
