REFLECTOR: Prince Props

I ran my Vesta prop the other day for the first time. I is quit and smooth but there seems to be a problem with over-speed. I reset the static pitch one flat on the adjustment nut and it lowered by a good 25 rpm. I called them on it and they told me that if the governor don't keep it from over-speeding they will exchange the blades for a wider cord. I think it will be help a lot. Right now I have a six inch cord. I do believe a seven would be better. The blades are very stiff and this is good for a pusher. The MT is not stiff enough, that is for sure.
Right now I'm stuck in DFW. Can't get a flight out because of over-bookings because of spring brakes. A real bummer when you have so much to get done at home. No flights out of here going west at all, till Tuesday.
I should have flown my Velo. But time would not allow it. Now I can see it would have been best. Nothing but good weather all last week.
As soon as I get back home I'll get on the prop again and let you know what I find. But so far it's great. Putting it on was easier then any CS I ever installed on a Lycoming engine. Later I'll send you pictures ofit.
