REFLECTOR: Pitch Angle During Climb

Well, yes of course, 7.12502 deg. is the best angle, but unlike yourself, I don't fly enough to be really precise, so I have to admit to my pitch wandering all over the sky between 7.113 and 7.311. When I'm flying a lot and really on top of my game, I can dial it right in, but as it is, good, will have to be good enough.

My personal experience, for the best combo of cooling and rate, I always climb out between 7.15 and 7.21 degrees.
Chuck :-)

Joe;
I'll be surprised to see someone posting numbers to answer that one:-)
Just as one rough data point, try about 1500 fpm climb at 120 kts. I'll let you do the math.

I am working on my cooling system (water cooled rotary.) Can anyone tell me what their pitch angles are for:
Vx
Vy
Cruise Climb
I am building a 173 RG, so that data would likely be the best, but I would appreciate any model info.
Thanks,
Joe
