definition of complex FAR 61.31(e) (1)
a land plane that has a retractable landing, gear,flaps and  controllable 
prop.
 The Velocity is considered high performance if over 200 H.  P. but not 
complex.
 But the insurance companies do not know that.
 If you read FAR. 61.31(K) (2)(B) Exceptions an experimental  certificate 
unless the operation involves carrying a passenger.
What do think about that?
