on the main gear legs by spreading them. So if you do back it in, make sure
you leave enough room to let it go forward at least a couple of feet to
relieve that stress.

XLRG in the works
My plane is always pushed backward into the hangar. It does result in
'spreading' of the mains by a couple of inches. My conclusion is that this
is not an issue; however, if it is going to be parked for an extended
period, with temps above, say about 90-95F, then getting your back under a
wingtip and lifting until the wheel slips a bit is a good idea.
